Richard Kelly [Donnie Darko], writer and director of the upcoming SF apocalyptic film Southland Tales, told SCI FI Wire that the movie is supported by Web sites and a series of graphic novels that will flesh out the movie’s elaborate backstory.
They include a site for a fictional company called Treer Products; one for porn-star-turned-entrepreneur Krysta Now, a character played by Sarah Michelle Gellar; and several 100-page graphic novels that will set the stage for the movie.
