Defense Department Bans MySpace and YouTube

Defense Department Bans MySpace and YouTube
The U.S. Defense Department will block access to MySpace, YouTube and several other websites on official department computers worldwide, starting today.

The site ban comes as an effort to free up network resources and boost network efficiency. Troops and families living at U.S. bases will still be able to access the sites using their private Internet connections, but those stationed in other places around the world, including Iraq and Afghanistan, will no longer be able to use these sites.
