To set the stage for the film ‘Southland Tales’, director Richard Kelly wrote a series of three graphic novels with illustrations designed by Brett Weldee that serve as a prequel to the film: Southland Tales Book I: Two Roads Diverge, Southland Tales Book II: Fingerprints And Southland Tales Book III: The Mechanicals.The comics started the story. The film finishes it.
